Thirukkural is a classic of Tamil literature written in couplets (or Kurals). It was authored by Thiruvalluvar, and has chapters covering specific subjects ranging from ploughing a piece of land to ruling a country. Many of the couplets are illustrated at the Batu Caves but only a small selection are reproduced here.
