The approach to Yeh Pulu is now quite easy and straightforward, as there is a nice path laid that runs through the sawah rice fields, and leads straight to the gate which gives access to the site.
When we arrived we were fortunate to meet the priest looking after the site, Mangku Wayan Kereg, who explained the reliefs to us.
They are arranged in two sections. The first section was explained to be connected with Śiva, and has reliefs of Śiva himself, his mother and two of his wives. The second section shows a sequence about boar hunting.
Beyond the two sections are a large meditation recess, and a small Tirta (pool for purification), now almost dry, and a temple. The whole borders on to the rice paddy fields.
