Phra Mahathat Chedi Traiphop Traimongkhon is located at Tambon Korhong, Amphur Hatyai, Songkhla Province in Southern Thailand. The name means the Cetiya of the Three Realms (of Existence) and the Three Blessings (Nation, Religion and King) containing the Great Relic.

It is the only Chedi in the world made of stainless steel. It was built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of King Bhumibol's (Rama IX) ascension to the throne, and was begun on Tuesday 28th February, 2006.

The central Pillar of the Chedi was erected on Friday 9th June 2006. It was finished in just 160 days, and was followed by a merit-making festival for 41 days, and a further ceremony was then held for 12 days and nights.

The photographs below come from two separate visits to the temple, one in 2010 and again in 2013. There is also an album showing the fine modern murals inside the Chedi in a separate album, which tells the life of the Buddha.
